Gust only collects what's needed to run the app. We don't sell your data and we don't train third-party AI models on your content.
What we collect
Account info: email, name, sign-in method (Apple, Google, or email).
Body stats and goals: age, weight, height, activity level, protein target. Used to compute your daily macros.
Dietary preferences and allergens: drives meal plan generation.
Meal plans, pantry, logs, and ratings: your usage of the app.
Photos: fridge and menu photos you submit are sent to our AI for ingredient or dish recognition. Photos are processed in real time and not retained beyond the request.
Subscription and purchase data: passed through Apple, used to verify access.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
We don't train external AI models on your meal logs, photos, or preferences.
We don't track you across other apps or websites.
How AI works in Gust
Some features use cloud AI (recipe generation, fridge scan, menu scan), and some use on-device Apple Intelligence (recipe adaptation, cooking tips, justifications). On-device AI runs entirely on your iPhone — those inputs never leave your device.
Apple Health
If you grant access, Gust writes your daily protein and calorie totals to Apple Health. We never read other health data unless you explicitly share it.

Delete your data
You can delete your full account and data anytime from Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
