Travel Mode pauses your weekly meal plan for a trip and replaces it with a Protein Concierge — light suggestions for staying on protein when you're not at home cooking.
Turn it on
Open the Profile tab.
Tap Travel Mode.
Pick your destination, dates, and kitchen access (full kitchen, microwave only, no cooking).
Tap Start trip.
Gust generates day-by-day food guidance for your destination. The Groceries tab hides itself, since there's no plan to shop for.
What you get during a trip
Dish recommendations tailored to your destination's cuisine and your protein target.
A daily protein checklist you can log against.
Restaurant menu scanning still works — and is especially useful while traveling.
Pantry, recipe library, and AI generation all keep working.
Turn it off
Profile → Travel Mode.
Tap End trip.
Your normal weekly plan resumes from the current day, and the Groceries tab returns.
Trip ends automatically
If you set an end date when starting the trip, Travel Mode turns off automatically that night. You don't need to remember to end it.
Logging meals while traveling
The daily protein checklist lets you tap meals you've eaten without being tied to a recipe. Apple Health writes still work for protein and calories.
Limits
Travel Mode is included with every Gust subscription — no extra charge. Trip generation has a soft cap to manage AI costs; if you hit it, you'll see a message.
