Most app issues — plan won't load, meals not syncing, AI features stuck — clear up with the same handful of steps. Try these in order before contacting support.
1. Check your connection
Gust needs a stable internet connection for plan generation, AI, and sync. If you're on patchy Wi-Fi or low signal:
Toggle Airplane Mode off and on.
Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular.
Try again in 30 seconds.
2. Force-quit and reopen
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause to bring up the app switcher.
Swipe up on Gust to close it.
Reopen Gust.
This clears most stuck states.
3. Pull to refresh
On the Home, Meals, Groceries, or Pantry tab, pull down from the top to force a fresh sync from the server.
4. Check your sign-in
If you've been bounced to the welcome screen unexpectedly, your session may have expired. Sign in again with your usual method (Apple, Google, or email).
5. Update the app
Open the App Store, tap your profile, and check for Gust updates. Older builds occasionally have bugs that newer builds fix.
6. Restart your iPhone
A full device restart resolves issues that come from the system level (iOS networking glitches, low storage, background services that hung).
